How does booking work?

Clients can book by selecting INQUIRE NOW or ORDER NOW. The client will be lead to the contact form page where basic info will be given to Lexie about the event. Once the inquiry form is submitted, you will automatically receive a digital brochure. At that point you will work with Lexie to determine the specific wants and needs and once Lexie can assess your request, a proposal will be given to the client and the client will receive access to their official Honeybook portal.

Are your balloons biodegradable?

YES! You can feel good about your design because all of the materials we use at the studio are biodegradable. With respect to being a green studio, we do not participate in balloon releases. We can however, add living floral to any design to pay respect to your loved ones.

How does payment work?

Once the client agrees to the proposal sent by Lexie, the client will pay a retainer fee of 50% of the final total through their Honeybook portal with a credit or debit card. The client will pay the remaining 50% of their final total 7 days before the day of the event.

What happens if it rains on the day of my event?

It is strongly suggested that you have an alternate indoor location for events that were originally planned outdoors. DBS will always deliver and install rain or shine but exposure to harsh elements can impact the final look of your balloon garland.

If the client cancels their event due to weather, Lexie will use her discretion and determine the phase of the project to see if a postponed date can be considered.

How long will my balloons last?

Balloons are very sensitive to light, wind and temperature. When kept indoors an organic balloon garland can last for weeks. When kept outside, garlands may last a few hours to a dew days. Helium balloons look best within 24-48 hours of creation although I have had clients that had floating Jumbos up to a week.

How many feet should I get?

Please visit the style guide portion of my website to see a rough visual illustration of commonly ordered sizes.

What is Double Stuffing & Do I need that?

Double stuffing is when a balloon artist uses two different color balloons to create a custom color. The artist will "stuff" one balloon inside of another before inflation. The result is a very thick, opaque balloon in a custom, unique color. Because double stuffing requires double the materials, additional fees will be added if a client specifically request a custom color or double stuffed. n an effort to conserve resources I do not double stuff most of my balloons but can do so upon request.

How should I dispose of balloons when I'm done with them?

My balloons are 100% biodegradable. It is recommended that you pop them and place them in a trash bag to be discarded. If needed, I can also come back and take them down at a later date.

If I buy a DIY kit from Amazon or Etsy, will you build it for me?

No. My designs are custom and I will use the materials that I source and deem to be of professional quality. DIY kits do not contain the correct sizes or the amount of balloons needed to create to my standards. The quality of the balloons is also not as good as something that I will source from my direct supplier. Buy one of my pro DIY kits.

What does Organic mean?
Organic balloon designs are designs that take place organically. It is difficult to replicate organic art. Each organic design is bespoke, and one of kind made by Lexie at any given time. Lexie respects the natural shape the structure takes on and uses sometimes up to 4 different sizes of balloons to give the natural organic design she is known for.
